RE: BRP Vignette transfer (영국 비자)

올 9월학기부터 영국에서 과정을 시작하시는 분들은 이미 모두들 들어가셨거나,

개별 사정에 따라 한국에서 수업을 따라가고 계신다고 생각합니다.

그래서 이미 지난 일일 수 있으나,

혹 참고하시라고 올해 있었던 BRP Vignette Transfer를 안내해 드립니다.

올해 보다 작년에는 COVID 19 이 더 기승이었죠. 특히나 영국은요..

하지만 올해 여름부터 (7월) 영국은 with corona 상황으로 접어들고 난 후 유학생분들은 작년보다는 더 적극적으로 들어가시는 추세였습니다.

저희 세이 학생분들께서도 이번 주면 모두 들어가시는군요.

잘 도착했다고 연락주시는 분들, 얼마 되지 않았지만 근황 전해 주시는 분들 계시네요:)

자, 다시 BRP Transfer로 넘어가서,,

이 비자 신청은 기존에 우리가 처음 영국에 유학을 위해 신청하는 비자 Student Route 신청서와는 다소 차이가 있습니다.

작년에 출국할 생각으로 비자를 받아두었다가 못 들어가신 분들 계실 겁니다.

그런 분들은 Vignette 상에 출국기일을 놓치셨지요.

그럼 BRP Vignette transfer 비자를 신청하시는 겁니다.

신청서 작성은 6 steps을 다 밟아야 하긴 하지만 훨씬 간단합니다.

비용도 GBP 154 면 지원가능하고요.

카스를 학교로부터 다시 받지 않아도 됩니다.

이 점 잘 참고하셔서,

올해도 그런 케이스가 있다면 내년에 영국 들어가실 때 이 BRP Vignette transfer를 신청하여 무사히 들어가시기 바랍니다.

Apply for a replacement biometric residence permit visa,

or to transfer or replace your visa (vignette) in your passport or travel document

Use this form if you are outside the UK and you need:

● a replacement biometric residence permit (BRP) visa because your BRP has been lost or stolen (this lets you re-enter the UK once within one month of issue)

● to transfer your visa (vignette) to a new passport or travel document

● to replace your visa (vignette) because your name or personal details in your existing passport have changed

● to replace your visa (vignette) because your previous visa has expired (this lets you re-enter the UK once within one month of issue)

Replacement BRP visa

You should first report your BRP as lost or stolen.

You cannot apply for a replacement BRP outside the UK. You will need to get a ‘replacement BRP visa’, which lets you re-enter the UK. After you have re-entered the UK, you must apply for a replacement BRP within one month of your return.

If you had indefinite leave to enter or remain in the UK, have been away for more than two years, have lost your documentation and want to continue residing in the UK, you must apply for a returning resident visa.

Transfer or replace your visa (vignette) in your passport or travel document (if you do not hold a valid BRP)

You might need to transfer or replace your visa if either:

●your passport has expired

● your name or personal details on your passport or travel document have changed

●you were unable to travel to the UK before the one month expiry date of your previous visa (vignette)

To apply for a visa, you need to:

● complete the application form and answer in English

● pay for the visa fee online (in most cases)

● provide your biometrics (fingerprints and facial photograph)

● provide your tuberculosis test result (if you are resident in a country where you must take the test)

● provide your passport and other supporting evidence

How long it takes to complete the application will depend on your particular circumstances. You will be able to save your application and come back to it at another time if you need to.
